The General Authority of Endowments organized a number of workshops with more than 15 government and private agencies, to enhance the role of the (endowment certificate), raise the quality of services provided, improve the journey of beneficiaries and their experience in the endowment sector, and enable endowments to manage services related to their interests and rights, within the framework of the authority's efforts to organize and strengthen the role of the endowment sector and empower it in economic and social development and social solidarity, and facilitate its procedures and development and maximize its impact.

 

The workshops included various topics on the importance of the endowment registration certificate, the role of the certificate in identifying the endowment entities benefiting from the services, identifying the required data and information, in addition to discussing incentives and exemptions in the services and licenses of partner entities, and the importance and necessity of electronic linking between them.

 

The entities participating in the workshops included (Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Riyadh Municipality, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Interior, State Real Estate Authority, General Real Estate Authority, Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers, Capital Market Authority, General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information, Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, and General Authority for Statistics.  The National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development, the Saudi Business Center, the National Information Center, and the Securities Depository Center Company).

 

It is noteworthy that the General Authority for Endowments works to organize and maintain the endowment sector, develop the endowment services provided to the beneficiaries, and work on the development and sustainability of the sector, in order to achieve the conditions of endowments through the application of best practices, and propose the enactment of laws and regulations that would promote, develop, empower, maximize its impact and enhance its role in economic and social development and social solidarity, in accordance with the purposes of Islamic Sharia and the regulations in force, and to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership to be a pioneer in the Kingdom in the non-profit sector.
